I had a lovely run this past winter at the Majestic Theater in West Springfield, MA, as Arlene in the professional premiere of Jack Neary's charming new romantic comedy, Moonglow, which explores the relationship between Ray Healy, a music teacher and parish band leader who's personal life is a "big question mark" and his friend and volunteer band secretary, Arlene, who believes she knows him inside and out.
In September of 2023, I travelled to Ireland with the Wilde Irish Women, where we performed Margaret Maher and the Celtification of Emily Dickinson, by the wonderful Irish Harpist and composer Rosie Caine. A delight of original music and story, the piece explores the friendship of Emily Dickinson and Margaret Maher, the Dickinson's long-serving Irish maid. I played the part of the venerable E.D.!
In spring of 2023, I played Vera in Wilbury Theatre Group's Indecent by Paula Vogel, directed by Susie Schutt. What a pleasure to act in this beautifully crafted play with a wonderful cast.
Last November, I was back with Silverthorne, performing at the LAVA center in a reading of the awesome dark comedy The Norwegians! Playwright and Smith College alum C. Denby (Colin) Swanson traveled from her base in Austin, Texas to join Silverthorne for this reading of her comedy about really, really nice Minnesota gangsters – Norwegian hit men – and the feisty women who hire them.
